What you can do

The Polis Project is currently focussing on setting up pilot projects in Kenia, Mozambique, Liberia, and Guinea-Bissau. Would you like the Polis Project to activate a Local Connector in your community? Or would you like to support the Polis or our local activities? Then there are several things you can do.

icon Become a Local Connector

Local Connectors have a crucial role in making local project initiatives a success. By representing the Polis project on the ground, Local Connectors listen to project ideas and make sure that project proposals are genuine and complete. A good Local Connector has an extensive network within his or her community, is an expert on local realities, and is a good communicator.

The Polis Project is currently selecting communities to start Pilot projects. If you are interested in becoming a Local Connector, please contact our communications department.

pen Send us a Polis Postcard

Are you in the initial phase of your project or initiative? Do you want to spread the word? Send us a Polis Postcard and get the word out there! Locally led projects are the driving force behind the Polis Project and we want to hear about yours.

Project ideas vary from community development to social entrepreneurship and local events. Polis Postcards will be published on our website to show our partners what types of local needs and ambitions exist in different communities. And of course they are a great way to put your community and your project initiative on the map! Go to our Polis Postcards section for more information.

world Become a Global Resource

Our model gives organisations insights into locally expressed needs and local project initiatives. If you are interested in connecting with projects that fall within your expertise or objectives, we would be very happy to include your organisation in our global network of partner organisations.

Becoming part of the Polis network gives your organisation direct and relevant connections with local initiatives, without intervention. If you are interested in becoming a Global Resource, please contact our communications department to discover the possibilities.

The Polis is looking for strong partners to fund activities in pilot countries and to support our operational activities such as the online platform and model development. The Polis model is easy to replicate in a wide range of countries. As a result of this and our human infrastructure, overheads are low, meaning your money goes directly to supporting our local activities.

If you are interested in funding a Local Connector in a country or supporting the Polis project in general, please contact our fundraising department.
